I'm totally in Canada.
First night Ma and I and Jeremy, Angela, Roman went to a Salisbury House and went five-pin bowling. Yesterday I went to work with Angela and got to see a little more of the city and went to my first karaoke EVER (but only with Roman 'cause everyone was tired) and the guy that worked there was way as cool as Roman said he'd be. I dug him. Oh, and I did manage to make myself sing and everybody except me thought I wasn't all that bad, but we left before I got in another song. Tonight is Jeremy's bachelor thing and all the girls are going to get together and do girl things 'cause the boys will all be out doing boy things. I'm going with the boys. It would be innappropriate not to. And, you know, it would suck. :D

I'm taking some pictures. They live on the 19th floor, so I already have a daytime panorama and a nighttime panorama for Gwe. It's great. I want to sleep on the balcony at least one night.

Picking up a couple little presents for some people. I found a poster that belonged to Laura, but it appeared she had misplaced it in a shop in Winnipeg. I'm serious, man, this is totally hers. And there's a cute little keychain for Jeanette and a poster for Lish and Stimpy's house. I'd like to find something for James and for Gwe, too, but it has to be found, it can't be forced. You know how it goes. In about an hour or so I'm going to go buy myself a pipe! I don't like sharing and they have excellent and super, SUPER cheap ones. I'm getting it to make it up to myself that I am in Canada NOT smoking Canadian pot, which is a crime.

Also, I adore the piss out of these guys. I'm so glad I finally got to come up here.

oh, and that song is possibly imogen heap - holding out for a hero, from the shrek 2 soundtrack i think. :P

I'm jealous. The last time I went bowling, I was a bowling super star! 131 baby. All time highest score I think. That would be hard to do with 5 pins!

Actually, it's easier than you might think, because they're scored like this:

2   2
and you get to throw three balls in a frame.

It's like the difference between the CFL and NFL, but in reverse!

I had a lot of fun -- my only complaint was that the balls didn't have holes or anything and they were all the same size, meaning that me with my teeny, TINY little hands had a lot of difficulty HOLDING the ball and not just sending it flying back behind me on the windup. I picked up this weird way to hold it from one of the other girls that made me feel like I was doing a low-to-the-ground shotput.
